Team Special Forces is a global online gaming community, which operates in various games, founded on the principles of professionalism, honor, camaraderie, organization, and fun for all. We strive to be an active, entertaining, safe, and open community of mature, well-mannered, and good-humored friends. Established in December 1997 and operating continuously since then, we have the history, tradition, structure, and leadership necessary to support a superior community.

A member of Team Special Forces is one who is a step above the general internet population. He or she must be personally disciplined and mature, neither engaging in dishonorable activities nor acting in a profane or abusive manner. Members must always be professional in their affairs, both public and private, and be a source of goodwill and pride to those around them. Team members place the team's objectives above their individual desires, solidarity with their teammates before any divisive controversy, and their own honor before all other things.

As a team community, we welcome those who understand and accept our ideals and goals to join us, regardless of how skilled they are in their respective games. We believe that skills can be taught by proper instruction, but that the student must bring an appropriate attitude of cooperation and professionalism in order to learn. One who is attentive, focused, social, and open-minded will learn many things and become a great player, but one who dismisses knowledge, protocol, or the company of others will languish and fail.

We strive to strike a balance between that group of players which only wants to play for fun and that group which desires the challenge of competition. Although we value the thrill of competition and the need for strategy and practice, we believe that the drive for competition should never overwhelm the need to have fun. Therefore, we are unlike many other clans in that we do not strive to be "the best" team in any particular game, but instead we use the virtues of competition to enhance the bedrock or our community: playing for entertainment. Members are not compelled to participate in competition and there is no pressure placed upon them to win matches or advance in competitive events, but we provide the facilities, training, and personnel needed for competitive activities so those who wish to compete may do so.

The root causes of our longevity and success are first, our members, and second, the structure and leadership that organizes and guides them. The structure of our team provides the stability, focus, and energy needed to maintain a healthy community that is true to our values. We have a Team Constitution which describes all proper operation of the team. Officers, who are granted powers and obligations by the Team Constitution, provide the day-to-day leadership needed to steer and develop our community. The protocols and procedures that the Team Constitution defines serve to avoid and resolve internal and external conflicts, ensure smooth team operations, and enable members to participate in the community fully.

It is our hope that we can enrich the greater gaming community through fair play and our teamwork. Team members should always play together on the same team whenever possible. Cheating or exploitive behavior is the scourge of online gaming and is dealt with most harshly. Together, we experience the good humor, professionalism, and friendship of our fellow teammates and work to continue the great history of this team.
